About Us

Taylor Solutions Custom Window Coverings was founded shortly after the pandemic after Robin Talmadge was forced to close the business she ran with her husband for over 30 years. Cynthia Taylor was a new mom taking a break from working in the trades as a union carpenter. With Robin’s innate sense of design and Cynthia’s experience in the construction industry, we discovered a niche in the window treatment industry. We continue to expand our knowledge by educating ourselves and gaining experience along the way.
Taylor Solutions holds a California Contractors License under the C61-D52 division. We are a proud member of the Northern and Southern California Carpenters Union and are locally owned and operated as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) business. We strive to create the best customer experience for every client and our main goal is for you to love your window treatments and enjoy your experience with us and our team.
Robin Talmadge
Robin Talmadge is the co-founder of Taylor Solutions. She is the in-house interior designer and sales manager.
While owning and managing World Gym San Francisco for over 35 years, Robin also gained experience in the construction world as she renovated and updated her facility several times. Her personal experience in home renovations also brought her innate design sense to the forefront. Her home was showcased in the Sunset Magazine for its unique, cutting-edge design.
Robin started her professional journey in the insurance industry, working with Richard Goldman Insurance. In this position, she learned about business and gained experience in communications with a wide range of clients.
She found herself starting a family and, during that time, opened the “Sweet Pea Day Care” center in her home. Then, her love for fitness and background in competitive gymnastics steered her into investing in what would be one of the most renowned fitness facilities in the world and earned a Legacy Business Status from the State of California.
Robin enjoys contributing to her communities and spending family time. She is also an adventurist. Robin is a former president of Slovenian Hall in San Francisco, former president of the Sunnyvilla Condo Association, and is currently on the board of directors of Goddard Association in Colorado Springs. She also volunteered her time at the San Francisco City Hall. Robin has traveled to explore the scuba diving world and has also obtained her private pilot license.
Robin, a grandmother of seven, is currently earning her interior design certificate at Canada College and loves spending time with her growing family.
Cynthia Taylor
Cynthia Taylor is the co-founder of Taylor Solutions. She manages the commercial and residential divisions of the business, providing project management, website and marketing services and managing the sales process from start to finish.

Throughout her career she worked with distinguished general contractors, with most of her time spent working for Cahill Contractors in San Francisco. While doubling up in an apprenticeship program while working full time, Cynthia completed her undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont. Upon completing her apprenticeship program, she earned a master’s degree in construction management at California State University of East Bay.
Cynthia is passionate about the construction industry and values the skills and discipline she has learned. Having found her niche in the window covering industry, she continues to expand her knowledge in the world of construction as it applies to this field. Having a true passion for problem-solving and an inherent sense of ambition, Cynthia continues to enjoy the opportunities this field presents.
